D-Day Landing Museum. At the centre of the museum sits
the Overlord Embroidery, which was commissioned by Lord
Dulverton as a tribute to the sacrifice and heroism of those men
and women who took part in Operation Overlord. The embroidery is
272 feet (83 metres) in length and is the largest work of its
kind in the world. Visit the gift shop and
enjoy tea and cake in the café.
Gunwharf Quays and Spinnaker Tower
where there are many shops and
restaurant and cafes. The tower overlooks the harbour and enjoy
the of views of the Isle of Wight and the different Royal Navy
ships. We will also visit the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard time
permitting.

groups! On the Pre-Christmas holiday we may see a panto
at the local theatre.

Leeds Castle is perhaps the loveliest and most romantic castle in England, built over
900 years ago, it is a magnificent sight situated in the
heart of the Kent countryside. The castle is filled with
art and antiques collected throughout Europe. Within the
grounds is a large aviary and a lake with various
wildfowl including the Black Swan which is the emblem of
Leeds castle.
We may also visit either
Royal Pavilion in Brighton, the palatial home of King George IV or
Sea Life
in Brighton, where there are many sea
creatures including octopus, sea horses and sharks. In
both venues there are excellent gift shops and of course
cafes for tea and cakes.
